Global Annoucements / September release update
September 22, 2024, 12:34:02 AM
I've updated the Projects Page with the expected releases for this month. It's another huge round and will release by the end of Sept.

There will still be some more updated older projects for Oct but most of the focus for the remainder of the year will be brand new projects. And, there are many coming!

After this round in Sept. I'm gonna put the wife to work on getting the store updated finally.

Now that is a fine design! I love some of the innovative features you used in this.

Very sad to hear this news. BYOC was a pioneer in the diy pedal community.

Quote from: satchmo1991 on September 06, 2024, 10:02:26 PMLike the title says, the current .pdf for StageFright24 is missing R51 which according to the schematic should be a 4k7 current limiting resistor for the status LED. Just thought you should know!

Ah, yes. Quite right. I will make an update. Thank you!

I would start with voltage measurements on the NE571 and compare those to the ones listed in the doc. For the audio path you'll want to verify that you do have 27k for both R20 and R21, and 100k for R45. I can't completely tell from your pic.

You can increase the amount of repeats by reducing the value of R45. So, if you are getting good signal at pin10 of the 571 but diminished repeats, I would socket that resistor and try lower values, like 47k downward.

Quote from: MIYTADJ on August 26, 2024, 05:52:56 PMHi I was wondering if you had finished your prototype and if so how it turned out AND if there is anything you could share about it. My build has been just sitting in it's bag basically cause of no funds to order those transistors.
Did you or were you able to try any other trannies for your build?

Thanks for the reply and the help by the way I really appreciate it . People taking their own time to read about my problem builds and trying to help are very cool people

I've got it nearly populated. I wasn't able to get the exact transistors they use but I got something close. I just need to test them for gain an leakage. Anyway, I will complete the build over the next couple of days and report back. I do wanna make this one happen.

Quote from: jfegelman on August 27, 2024, 07:13:31 PMI have found a temporary workaround that works for me.

After clearing any cookies, go to https://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php? with the "?" at the end of the normal url to login and anytime you are going back to the main forum page.  This seems to bypass the cache and make the request to the forum itself.

Hope this helps!

Cool, I will give this a try. On a related note, after 7 days I got no response from my provider on my support request. Very disappointing.

For Eagle, this is already in the mbp 2017 library:

General Questions / Re: CurrentLover24 CD4049 IC type

You'll want the UBE - unbuffered version. That's the type used in almost all guitar circuits.

Global Annoucements / Re: August releases are out.

Under the VFE section, I've added the option to purchase these individually:

TrueSoft 3.4 PCBs for the SPS projects
VFE v3SB PCB for the original projects
MCU for the v3SB

Quantity is small but I will likely be able to add in more soon.

Quote from: djaaz on August 22, 2024, 10:08:52 PMHi Brian, any chance we could order the switch pic that were missing during the last clearing sale?

For the VFE? Yes, I can make some available for order if you need some. Just have to put the button back on the Store page.

Global Annoucements / August releases are out.
August 22, 2024, 09:39:14 PM

Lots of restocks plus most of the VFE stuff is available again.

I pushed back two projects:
1)SSDBP - this is the dual switching board that lets you make any two Standard Series projects into a combo (with order switching). Works perfectly, but the drilling margins are pretty close so I'm going to get a Tayda drilled box for it so I know the drill template is right.
2)Tone Virus - A new layout which is working but I'm having some noise issues with the LFO that I haven't solved yet. Hopefully I'll get that turned around in a few days.

There will be one more big re-stock next month then it's back to new projects for the remainder of the year.
