I'd seriously consider it. My audio probe is the first thing I ever soldered, and I've been too lazy to make a better one.

Very cool, and congrats on your design! Looking forward to hearing it.

Even though I was joking around in my first response, I still expected the Ring Stinger to get way more votes than it did. Ah well.

I get the sense that you enjoy ice cream...I can't say for certain though.

Great motifs. That ice cream sandwich is great!

Wait, are you implying that there are people who don't enjoy ice cream?

We live in a fallen world, my friend.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

These are 100% great. The ice cream sandwich might be my favorite!

I'm personally disappointed with anyone who didn't vote for the Ring Stinger.

The Krankosaurus board uses 9mm board-mounted pots, and sits vertically in the enclosure (i.e., the PCB is aligned with the enclosure walls rather than the backplate). There's nothing stopping you from wiring the pots manually, but if you do it the intended way top-mounted jacks won't fit.

That looks great!

While synths definitely put out more level than guitars, your biasing might also be off, specifically on the gain trims. The instructions in the build doc for setting Gain 2 are actually wrong (I've mentioned this to Brian but it hasn't been updated yet). You want to set it so that the level is the same at pins 7 and 14 (or 15) of the NE570. I had a similar problem with my builds until I got that sorted, though I've only used them with guitar.

Super impressive!

You might want to try replacing the battery in your meter anyway to see if that changes anything. They behave really strangely with low batteries.

Started a new play through of Dank Souls 1. It's amazing how much you can skip when you know what you're doing.

First stop: Catacombs, for the Gravelord sword.

The build docs recommend r3 to be 470k. If I'm seeing this correctly yours still has the original value of 1M

I do have R3 at 1M, but if you read the doc again it says to change R3 to 470K if you want to reduce the dry volume. I've got the opposite problem! Thus my question in the first post about increasing R3.

hmm, i notice you're using plastic jacks, maybe the case isn't grounded properly? try using a alligator clip to ground the case and see if it goes away.

you could also try a different power supply, maybe the one you're using is letting noise bleed in. using a TL062 for IC5 (the lfo) might help too, i cant make out if that's what you're using.

I'll try grounding the enclosure. The input/output jacks are both grounded to the DC jack (input jack connects via the 3PDT, output jack connects via the PCB), but it's true that the enclosure itself isn't seeing the connection. Worth a shot!

My power supply is good, it's four regulated and isolated outputs. I bought it from someone on the BYOC forums years ago.

IC5 is a TL062, sorry for the bad photo.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys, I'll try them out on Monday (busy weekend).
