Sweet builds! Is it difficult to get the belton brick apart without breaking anything?

You're killing it lately. Nice to see you building again.
Thanks! Don't know why exactly but I've been super motivated to build lately and finishing off a bunch of projects that were long on the back burner!

Continuing my quest of building all 1590g boards not in 1590g boxes! So this time I figured I would go for top mount jacks in a 1590B. Worked perfectly for that!

Man, all of this recent string of enclosures are great! How long does it takes start-to-finish for the inks/clear coat?

Marty
Thanks! Maybe a couple hours? The lettering takes the longest. I do a coat of the modpodge after the base of ink and put the lettering on top of that so that its clearer. The new ink activates the old ink if you don't do that and it blends together

I cover the alcohol ink with a coat of decoupage which gives it texture. Then i clearcoat. It protects the ink from running when the clearcoat is sprayed plus gives it a cool texture

Continuing my theme of dual builds. So the idea for this was a beginning or possibly end of the chain box. So it's the bloviator and afterlife compressor (my favorite compressor, I've built 2 or 3) Again used alcohol inks. I need to change the knobs on the right side for green knobs at some point but I don't have any green knurled knobs at the moment. The status LED is an RGB led that only uses the GB portions. blue for the blue side, green for the green side. Nice sounding box for clean tones or to juice or shape an overdrive!!! I went with the offset knobs because I thought it looked unique and it happened to be utilitarian as I had already built the bloviator using a daughterboard I made from perf so the pots were locked at the top of the board.

Great work again! The octogon looks like a great way to spread out the foot switches. Can you still do both together if needed?

Good point, I think so especially with the short shaft toggle switch. A way to for sure accomodate that would have been to swap the leds and footswitches. But yeah I like the octogons because you don't really have to think about the usual considerations for top mounted jacks, though I did come unnecessarily close to the jacks coming in contact with the pcbs on this build.

nice tidy build! It's nice to come back after a long break with a few simple builds to get back into the swing of things.

I agree! That is just so cool. The whole theme just works. Bet it sounds awesome too!
yeah, I need to play with it a bit more but its definitely among the group of best sounding pt2399 delays in my opinion
