So I just saw it on imgur, and came here to post...
So fess up.
Which one of you built it?

After starting to solder one (Ultrastoner), I've found a fair problem with these Black Metal mudbunny boards.

You can't write on the back, on a clear part of the PCB, which spec it is. (This is needed, esp when you have a dodgy memory sometimes.) I've got a bit of masking tape on it now with the spec written on that :)

Alan - I'm not sure if you're aware, but they make sharpies in colors other than black. I'm quite fond of my metallic ones

Given multiple leds working before hitting the circuit and then not once you pull them, my thought on the issue is a missing/too small CLR.

And when you say you're checking them on the 9v battery.. you are using a CLR there as well right?

Clearly - I'm stoked for you.
Congrats!

Build Reports / Re: Wampler Pinnacle

I'm 99.9% sure its simply black FR4 etched.  Then you mask off the copper you want to keep and apply MG Chemicals "Liquid Tin" for the silver color.  Finally, clear coat it and voila!  There ya have it.

Bill's face place looks great!  Nice job.

That's exactly what I got from it! But lets wait for for Bill to chime in.

Not sure if this should go in the Build Reports or not.

Been playing with different ways to do Face plates. I like this so I thought I'd share.

I used magazine paper onto black FR4 but what sets this one apart for me is the two tone....

He did share this info before, not sure if it's enough to whet your appetites or not? Perhaps it will sate folks until he makes a more detailed report?

I build sometimes as therapy. It is exceptionally Zen.

1.) I don't like the band I'm in. I only do it to make music.
2.) I delegate more work than I actually do at my job
3.) I "Scotty" the work I do, so I can take my time in doing it.
4.) ???

Oh you're under the impression we build because we need it? :-D

Ha ha so true.

The building bits the fun part!

The truth is spoken.

I build because I can.
This. All of it. +infinity

Why do you have another delay and 4 distortion boxes on your build queue?

Because I can.

I built one years ago with a compression driver speaker I got from MGM Electronics.

Googleing around and found this

I'm not sure how that qualifies as a final report for a 400 level Physics class - but that kid has the best damned Sister in the world!

I built one years ago from an old Crate bedroom amp, a salvaged horn driver from a local sound shop, some PVC and clear tubing from the hardware store. I used silicone to attach the pvc to the horn and after some reduction fittings used a barbed brass coupler coming out from the side of the amp. Then some cheap tubing to come up to the mic. Added a couple 100µF(protect that driver!) caps twisted together to roll off the ~100hz and below and it worked a treat. I spent more on the Morely A/B/Y box than I did on the mod.  Used it for one song. Man in the Box. Bad power on a stage took it, and two other much loved amps.

This guy has a really good method on instructables

I think this is one of those "because it's there" builds.

General Questions / Re: Weener wah vs modded crybaby?
February 11, 2014, 01:00:44 AM
If you've done the "stinkfoot mods" (which have been going around longer than Stinkfoot has existed ) then you've for the most part tricked out your wah as much as you can on that PCB. You can rig up a sweep cap rotary, or even an inductor cap rotary and come close, add a trimmer to some of the resistors you've replaced instead - But the Weener is as mentioned a complete modifiable platform. It includes a boost (that can be set at unity)as well that will help you get past fuzzes and take things up a notch. My weener is still in a state of flux. I need to quit messing with it and just put the darn thing into my shell.

I had it a touch wrong as well. The knobicon power jacks are switched. If wired correctly(Following Bean's wiring diagram) they will disconnect the 9v Battery when a power plug is inserted. If they don't - there's a problem. I've only wired up 3 of my pedals for a 9v battery - but they all function that way.
