I am repairing my old Tech 21 Trademark 60 amp and have loved it for over a decade. It is supposedly all analog and does a great job at tube amp emulation. I noticed a black square on the PCB and on the backside I could see a grid of metal squares- obviously contacts for whatever is in the epoxy filed box. I am curious as to what it actually is- a custom IC?

I am selling this and had to open it up as the bulb burned out. Had a great buyer too. Grr. Anyway, noticed the older parts and am wondering if it is worth it to cannibalize it for any. The trannys are Motorola MPS A06 and MPS A12- no idea about the other stuff.

This will be good to know- I plan to build and Ego Driver and I have seen other projects with LED clipping and I was thinking the same thing about using them in the enclosure design. Be sure to post your build up so we can see what you come up with!

To be clear, welcome to the forums!
Either you are extreme "A" type personality or you have some former experience with DIY or electronics. You've got pot condoms, shrink tube, socketed trannys, color coordinated wiring, decal, etc.... anyway- good job mang!
