That is an awesome head for the price.
What ever you do... don't match it with a 2x12 cabinet ;)

Didn't I read something about reboxing a Pro Jr with a 12" from Mojotone? For just that reason? Gearmandude maybe?

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that you had stacked opamps, different diodes, and a different gain pot or something for the higher gain side

Perhaps my madness has finally taken over?

The mmbfj201 converter and test circuit for the Black and Tweed are discussed here
Basically a test circuit if you don't have a breadboard or suck at breadboarding and sot-23 converters to .1 spaced headers or legs to allow you to stick the SMT version in circuit designed for the to-92 package.

the O.S.P. projects are here on madbean - currently there's a TS and a Univibe

Other than the truebypass boards - nothing is actually tested and confirmed working just yet. I imagine it'd be pretty hard to messup the j201 converter, the test circuit from Chi-Boy's documentation, and the OSP project was confirmed working before I shrunk it... But anything is possible.

I tried looking on his site - THe goat is a Blues Breaker board - but I couldn't find a KOT board... Perhaps I'm overlooking?

Just to muddy the waters a little, I would lean towards a hand wired, i.e. turret or stripboard construction rather than pcb for an amp, if for no other reason than the ease of repair and/or modification. I think most amp techs would agree. Plus, I found it a lot of fun building my 5E3 Tweed Deluxe based amp. Boot Hill Amps http://www.boothillamps.com/5F1_Kits.phpputs together a nice kit at very reasonable cost. There are many others to choose from. I used Triode Electronics. It's nice to get away from stuffing boards for a change. In fact, I'm convincing myself I need to build one of these http://www.allenamps.com/brownsugar.php. Arggh!

Dave(allenamps.com) is about 20 min and has had his hands in 3 of my amps. He's a tad on the expensive side, but overall worth every penny.

*edit - update which Dave.

Jimi -

That is not a ginger, that is a redhead.
To assist you in the future I am providing a visual aid.

And those pedals sure do look nice.

Will the Mudbunny ever get its mid knob back?
Jack Orman's Mid/Presence knob mod
R18 would become a B25k pot with a 3k3 (or use any value between 1k and 33k) resistor in series - the easiest way to do this is solder the left leg in and lift up the right one. Trim the leg(not all the way!). Solder a wire to the leg and then connect that wire to pin 3 of your pot. Pins 1 and 2 now connect to the right hole of R18. Brian left this resistor as the "stock" value for the original version of the Mudbunny.

Optional but also recommended, socket and experiment with C10, using the original value up to your value for C11

Socketing is always encouraged.

Always,

Uncle Traveling Matt

They are shallow sockets which is why I said that. And I left it cause I knew someone would go there, and that one else before hand has on a thread about tightening nuts...

the korg pitchblack poly is crazy accurate and has the greatest display i've seen on a pedal tuner

While I loved my pitchblack it became a tone generator (and even told me it was a D!)- They claimed it was interference and normal operation, until I sent a video to them showing the operation. They even claimed my 1spot caused the "damage", that a 1700mah device powering a device that only needed 100ma ...    I tried several avenues, all to no avail. I now refuse to give them my custom.

My Polytune 2 does a fantastic job. No nonsense about not using a TC Electronics power supply will void the warranty.  Yes Poly mode isn't as accurate as single note mode, (would you really expect poly vs single strobe style to be?) but it will get you in tune enough on stage without fail in a pinch.
