Looks great man. So I see you socketed C21. What do you have in there now and what other values did you try?
Thanks

I haven't tried anything yet it was more of a just in case

That looks amazing! I'm going to try ribbon cable for the off board connections on the build I have on the go right now.

Great work.

I have to admit I've never looked at FSB  from what I'm reading in this thread I'm not about to start using it as a resource any time soon.

I will say that since joining this forum, I've only had positive, encouraging feedback. That alone is inspiring.

There are plenty of shitty thing in this world. I'm sure people (myself included) build pedals for enjoyment. Why people have to put a negative spin on something that is completely beyond me.

I will end with, Brian please keep up your great work. Absolutely no complaints from this Aussie.

Thanks people.

mrclean77, Love the 80's cheesy chorus hahahah. I've been know to completely over do it on occasions! I think this may replace my well worn and loved CE-5. Actually screw it! They're both going to have a place on my board.

Ok so a short back story on this build. I grew to love the sound of the pedal this is based off. Last year I went looking for a CE-2 only to find they have a ridiculous price tag against them these days. (I now wish I'd picked one up 15-20 years ago when they litters the second hand sections of music stores)
Any way, in my googling I stumbled across the madbean site along with a number of others.

I've wired plenty of guitars and countless cables so I figured I'd try to build a clone of a CE-2 rather than forking out 100s. In a way you could say that this build was indirectly the catalyst for a new hobby. I attempted a couple of other simpler builds before tackling this one and when I got round to ordering a board the terrible twos had arrived in my wife and I's lives and decided to present its own set of life challenges.

I started this is November 2016 and after some troubles with myself putting the wrong transistors on the board and an Unshielded dc input, finally buttoned it up tonight! It sounds great and am really happy with the final result.

The etched enclosure was a bit of fun after rewatching Sin City

Love to hear your thoughts

Cheers Tommy

Is there any interest in a Pinnacle Deluxe? I know I'd love to see one.

Build Reports / Queen of Clone
October 21, 2016, 05:36:49 AM
Hey all.

Here's the Rullywow "Queen of Bone" build I've finally completed. Gotta say the build document was a huge help being that I think this one was my 3rd or 4th build.

I managed to get some "unobtanium" diodes for it too. Side A is 1S1588 and side B is MA856.

Thanks to Paul at http://www.diyguitarpedals.com.au for the 1S1588's

As with my last build report, the enclosure is etched. Another move theme.....

Check out the pics!

Cheers

Tommy

Build Reports / Re: 1st build Dirtbaby

Thanks all.

Warriorpoet & Boba7, I can't claim that this is my very 1st but is one of them. I've tackled 2 vero layouts (both running but a bit of a birds nest in the guts) and have done the Rullywow "Queen of Bone" but haven't finished the enclosure.

nzCdog. I really like it on 1st listen. I need to give it a good run over the next day or 2 at a decent volume. And yep "The Repeater" is a nod to Supertroopers. Hence feedback labeled "littering and...."

Thanks for all the kind words.

Tommy

Build Reports / 1st build Dirtbaby
October 14, 2016, 01:37:04 PM
Hey all.

So here's a couple of pics of one of my 1st builds. I've only briefly tested it and all seems to be working as expected. Pretty cool sounding delay! All parts (except the board obviously) are from Tayda. Also after researching some etching techniques I've etched the enclosure.

Love to hear people's thoughts.

Cheers

Tommy.

Thanks
