Okay, so, dumb question, but I learned from the BYOC wiring diagrams, and they've got them labelled as ring on top and sleeve in the middle (the Small Bear link says sleeve on top and ring in the middle). Have I been Doing It Wrong?

Build Reports / Re: Sunking (+ Echobase) in one

The chain goes Sunking --> Echobase, but for some reason, I still see things left to right. I couldn't believe how many times when I first really started using pedals I always cabled them backwards (input on the left, output on the right)! I should read less.

Every now and then, I try to figure out why pedals go right to left instead of left to right. I have the feeling that a long time ago, someone was wiring up the guts of a very early pedal, and they thought "Let's go from left to right", not realizing that the input and output would change sides when they flipped the pedal over. And somehow that stuck.

Anyway, beautiful build!

These are great! Any chance they can be updated to include LED wiring, for those pedals that don't have them on the PCB?

I had a real Woolly Mammoth for a while (sold it once I realized I could build my own!), and I'm pretty sure it behaved like this at certain settings too. You might want to have someone else confirm, though, it's been a while since I've played with it. (Which reminds me, I need to box up my Sabertooth circuit...)

Thanks again!

Thanks guys. mjcyates, I've sent you a PM.

Hey guys,

I'm building a Krankosaurus, and I only notice now that C5 (1 uF) is supposed to be an electrolytic. I was only able to find this value as a box cap from Small Bear. Can I use what I've got, or does it have to be electrolytic?

If it does have to be electrolytic, does anyone have two of them to spare? I'd be much happier sending you the dollar for postage than putting in an order just for two caps. Thanks!

For what it's worth, you can also order in specific gain ranges from banzaimusic.com, though they're based in Germany.

Just a little bump. Is my ground wiring scheme okay, or am I missing something?

So I'm looking at these PCBs, and I want to make sure I have the grounding straight before I actually do any building. If I wire from the sleeve of a jack to G1 on the board, and then from G2 of the board to the ground on my ring mod board, is that right?

By the way, I can't believe how tiny these boards are. You could almost call them cute.
