I hope to hear how this goes! There are multiple free organs in my area that I have been thinking about parting

They actually listed it as 1 cable though. Its completely different than the last one. They will not give you $500 dollars in cables (trust me I tried last time).

I doubt its your hand oil, I was actually taught that cleaning off the iron with oil on your finger is the best. And its probably just the iron in its cooling cycle

Thanks guys! I got a huge bin sorter thing from goodwill when I started messing with electronics, I just need to fill it up! I think I will go 20 of each resistor, and then be selective on the caps because they get expensive, especially box caps :o I just can't wait for the new madbean projects to come out (zeropoint deluxe, etc)!

Thanks again

Hey guys,

Now that I am getting the hang of this, I'm about to do my first really big order (including all the resistors, capacitors, etc for any build I want to do) for about $150, and I was just wondering how do you guys do it?

Do you just buy every value of ceramic, electro, and box caps and resistors? or are there you will never use (and how do you figure that out)?

Btw this is a tayda order because its so cheap  ;D

Thanks

Just a few questions about the nautilus:

1. Why is the volume a trimpot instead of a regular pot? Any specific reason?

2. Is this ( http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Detail?no=46 ) the mode switch I should use? and what knobs can you use on it?

Thanks

usually you can look at the data sheets that would be online for the chips, and they should tell you.
I hope that helps!

Stew-Mac is great for these kind of things. Here is a link: http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/Electronics/Pickup_building.html
and they also have kits for building your own pickups too. I have always wanted to build my own, but I just have never done it. I hope this helps.

I am almost completly new at this thing. So pardon my beginner questions, but what do you do with all the ground things in this diagram, does it go directly to the negative part of the power supply?

Thanks
