Hello friends! Long time no post. Just wanted to share my first rehouse. I took a friends EHX Holy Grail and condensed it into a smaller 1590B enclosure and upgraded the power supply to the more common 9v. I feel like it came out very nice.

Sorry if that sounds dumb.  I mean, solder it directly to the tip at the input jack or the input side of the switch or something?

Sorry man, I should have been more clear. You can connect one side of the pull down resistor, 1M is what I used, to the Input connecting to circuit board and the other side to ground. You can also do this to the Output connecting to the circuit board and ground if you still hear popping.

I have drawn up an example using a version of Madbeans wiring diagram.

I have a production EM-Drive that pops, too!  I see you used a 1M pull down.  Where, exactly did you put yours? Kind of new to this.  Any help is appreciated. 

I connected one side of the 1M resistor to Input and the otherside to ground.

The folks over at FSB looked at the original and saw the transistor used was a MPSA18... if that helps.

Hey, Rocktopus - how did you wire up your switch? I built this today but cannot get my switching to work, for some reason. Thanks!

I wired up the pedal in this thread as close to the stock version I had at home. However, I'v recently have been experiencing a popping when engaging the footswitch. My guess is that I might need an additional pull-down resistor on the output as well. Either way, I have build another EM-Drive clone and wired it according to Madbean's wiring diagram and it works great! My suggestion is to wire it his way and be safe
