Build Reports / Re: My 2nd build!
March 16, 2014, 07:23:38 PM
Thanks! I did a lot of reading and checking out builds on the forums before I started my first pedal. The first was a simple Bazz Fuss in a 1590a with no finish. lol I'm only hoping I can make them better from here. I still have a lot to learn though.

Build Reports / My 2nd build!
March 16, 2014, 06:33:15 PM
I finally finished my 2nd build. It is Chromesphere's Ember Drive. It has some flaws in the finish and the wiring is not as clean as I would like. I didn't have a battery snap either so I'll have to add that later. Overall I'm happy though. Now on to finish the Chunk Chunk......

I've used smaller pieces of velcro on pedals with no problem. Now I switched over to 2" industrial grade velcro.
I use the softer stuff on the pedal so that when I switch pedals out the velcro won't scratch my shelf. I'm sure it doesn't really matter either way but that made enough sense to me to use it that way.

There shouldn't be but I'll double check when I try again. Here is a pic of my first attempt.

General Questions / Re: Waterslide decal problem

Thanks, I was thinking about it and thought maybe I may have put too much soap and water on the enclosure and didn't get it from around the holes good enough. All the corners stuck well and around the 3PDT switch hole also. It was just around the pot holes. I'm going to go at it again tomorrow and use less water on the enclosure.

General Questions / Waterslide decal problem
March 13, 2014, 09:40:00 PM
I got my waterslide paper in and printed out the decal for a pedal I'm putting together. The decal turned out really well. I cleared over it with no problems. I trimmed everything really well and put it on the pedal. Everything looked great for about 15 mins. Then around the pot holes it started wrinkling. I worked with it a little and tried to keep the wrinkles out and made sure all the bubbles and water was out. But it got worse. Everything else turned out perfect except around the pot holes. Anyone have an issue like this? BTW it happened twice.

I listen to 90's rock and post grunge mostly. Right now I'm on a Chevelle kick.

Adobe bought out Cool Edit so if you like CE you would love Audition. It's a lot like it but with more features.

I've been using Cool Edit and Adobe Audition since the mid 90's. I can't bring myself to update to anything newer. But I guess I've always kind of been stuck in the 90's lol.

No need to be sorry, Last time I ordered from you, it got here before Tayda. And I ordered them on the same day!
It did take OSHPark forever to get me the sound2lights but it was well worth it! I can't wait to design my own board.

I hate placing a big order with Tayda the day before the discount code comes out.

I really hate having the discipline to wait until the discount code comes out, placing the big order and then forget to put the code in. Yes I did that. Man I tick myself off sometimes!  >:(
That sounds like something I would do. lol

Thanks. With these orders I should have enough parts to hold me over for a few builds. I'm going to try to keep a few builds here at a time and order when I get to my last one.
