But for a Jack White in a box, I think with the twin twelve, you would have all the major boxes checked off :)

I've had a look in all the obvious places but can't find a schem or a layout, do you remember where you got it from?
I suppose a good place to start is a Supreaux and a charge pump

Crikey you've been busy!

Any details on the Calhoun? A friend asked about doing a Jack White in a box style pedal recently, i was planning on putting a muff and a micro amp in, the twin twelve would finish it off nicely!

maybe like this?

I like the adjustable output impedance, I keep meaning to breadboard an opamp buffer with switchable (via relay) impedance for the input section of a looper i'm working on... slowly. Any more details on the circuit?

Well the Autodesk version is now live, offering free & 2 subscription models, interestingly the board size limitation is now on cm2 so I'm hoping I can create a board wide enough for my looper in eagle as I don't feel entirely confident with my Diptrace skills.
I've signed up for a month so we'll see soon!

Edit: Yup can now create boards outside of the old 100x80 limitation. I imagine the free version which limits boards to 80cm2 is the same.

I just ordered one and will report back. According to the videos I've seen it's decent considering the price but nothing you would use for work. While it's rated up to 200kHz, it's getting wonky beyond 100kHz but Mn300x chips have clock frequencies of 100kHz max so it should do the trick for analogue delays as well as audio signals.

Did you ever get this built up? I'm gearing up for a total recall build and also need a scope for diagnosing automotive projects.

OK, what about the buffer circuitry? I guess that is sharing the normal GND? can you bypass that to rule it out?

Edit: come to think of it, in my thread here: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=21665 I was trying to accomplish what you have, in the end I gave up including the buffer as it was causing issues, I never did get to the route of the problem.

The noise is when any pixel is lit.  Just a static text, you get noise.  I don't think it's the I2C lines.

Just had a closer look, you've got the AGND & GND connected in the pic, does it still have noise with them disconnected?

I will probably have to switch to LCD.  That's fine with me, but I don't know which to use.  It will take longer, since I'll have to redesign the enclosure and PCBs.

I looked at either the 16x2 or 20x2 but gave up trying to find a neat mounting solution.

With the Opto mute are you driving it straight from the IC or through a 1k resistor still, also are you muting with a delay before & after the relay switches?

Looks good, very similar to something I'm finalizing however I'm using a LED alphanumeric display.

I guess this is what was being discussed here?: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=24225

Whats this issue with noise from the OLED? separate GND plane for AGND & DGND? is there only noise when data is being written to the display or is it constant? I'm guessing with the display removed its noise free so it isn't the I2C bus in general

I want to get a scope primarily for help with car projects and diagnosing sensor & PWM signals. As it needs to be relatively portable I had a look at the DSO Nano, has anyone got any experience with these? Obviously it'll need to be suitable for pedals as well, setting up delays and checking the output of TAPLFOs for example.

I also kinda gave up on building a looper since I am going for a stereo setup now.

Are the stereo pedals you use MIDI compatible? I know the Mobius is but I'm not familiar with the other large format pedal on your board.

My plan is to have mono pedals in the looper and stereo pedals after. Use the program change commands on each looper preset to switch presets on the Mobius for example, some presets being bypassed.

I find that my daughter (19 months) is a good reliability tester at the moment, if it can survive her it'll survive a tour  ;D

On my quest to get decent engraving results using off the shelf hammond enclosures i've decided to have a go at  mechanical engraving rather than laser engraving.

My nomral CNC hasn't got the spindle speed to get good results engraving so a smaller machine seems the way forward.

My current plan so far is to add the CNC shield to my next elecrow order and get a bunch of Pololu steppers off the bay/alibaba.

Chilipeppr is likely to be my gcode sender of choice as it has some useful tools such as auto-leveling which will be hugely helpful milling pcbs.

Machine wise the ballscrew version of a either a 3020 or 3040 should be upto the job mechanically, i need to fit the 1032L/1590BX on and i'm not sure about the maximum workpiece size for the 3020.

I primarily use eagle for everything however i've ran into the dimension limit, head first, hard.
My 8 loop programmable looper boards are nearly 240mm x 50mm, fortunately each of the boards has less than 300 pins so the freeware/$75 starter version are more than adequate.

From a usability standpoint, eagle is much easier to use, I'm probably using diptrace wrong but laying everything out and then drawing the traces seems more prone to errors for me than creating the schem and then generating the board with the airwires.
