Build Reports / Re: Pedalboard pics megathread
May 05, 2015, 12:23:13 AM
Thanks to all you guys that helped make it happen.  All pedals were built in collaboration with madbean members :) (aside from the volume pedal).

So close to finishing. Almost wired up but ran out of patch cables...

The bypass led is so well hidden in the skulls it took me a minute to find it.  Also really like the rotary marker on that one.

I love the way your pedals look.  So clean looking.

The finish on that zero point is awesome.

Looks like the forces of evil can be tamed with this thing.

Or unleashed... ;D

I can't speak for Dan, but I promise only to use my powers for good.  :)

I can't make that promise.

Those square fresnels... 8)  Where? Did you get those...

This is one of the coolest builds I have seen!

Dan found them! Hopefully he'll chime in here to tell you where they came from.

The part number is SQB400.  ALSO, I have been getting a lot of my stuff from onlinecomponents.com, like these fresnals.  Navigating their website sucks so I use mouser to find the part numbers of what I need and then search for them on online components. It seems like they have a lot of stuff mouser doesn't stock and nearly everything is cheaper (at least from my recent experiences). Only downside is there is a $30min order.

I  enjoyed the collaborative process on this, and I hope Dave enjoys the finished pedal as much as I have, despite the messy guts.

Messy guts don't bother me.  I plan on using it, proper functioning is all that matters.

Thanks again!

I have a set and have tried to use them to label knobs....I can't say they really look good. I have 1/4" ones like the link. The pics of them are deceptive. The actual sharp part is very small so the letters are very thin...

That thing is gorgeous

This might be the perfect guitar

Big neck check
Wide range humbucker check
Tele bridge pickup check
Simple controls check
Medium flat radius check
Big rounded edges for ergonomics check
Tasteful Tele-esque bridge with working trem system check

Yeah I think this is actually the perfect guitar

Thanks. It is my perfect guitar for sure.  Here is the build thread I mentioned if you guys want to check it out :)

So cool!  That pedal board has got to be amazing...

It's coming along thanks to you guys!  Actually I think I have more than filled it now.  Maybe it is time to take a break :)  I think by next week it will be completely packed and I will post a full pic.  But here is a little teaser:

and my official pedal tester

Great work all round.

These are my favourite enclosure designs for ages. Right up my street!

Wow, thanks man.

You already know how much I love your enclosures, but I think we should all take a minute and reflect on those three fantastic wiring jobs as well!

^ Yeah that!

Man these look outstanding!
I demand demos! :-)

I will try to work on that man.  I am not so savvy with this stuff...but we do have a older tascam 8-track recorder haha.  I have no clue how to use it, but the next time my buddies are over I will have them hook it up so I can record something quick ;)

Great enclosure work! Where's the gut shots? You can still post those, regardless of who build them.

Yeah, they both did such a clean job on the inside I don't think they would mind me posting gut shots :)  NONE of these had board-mounted pots by the way. I made it painful for them haha.

I just love that retro, gritty feel. Damn.

That is pretty much exactly what I am going for.  Thanks

I love the aesthetics of your pedals.  It is cool that you have such a distinct vibe that upon seeing one I immediately know, that is a Cortexturizer pedal ;)
