Nice builds.  They look very Juan Solo-ish (and that's a good thing).

There's a reason for that* ;)

* I build pedals over at Cleggy's. It's a bit of a two man operation. I still do the decals, he does the Envirotexing and any painting (I'm so shit at that it's amazing). Boards tend to be populated these days by whomever gets there first on my builds, but he does all his. As for installations, that entirely depends on Cleggy's patience on his builds, I do all mine. He did all of them up there IIRC. He didn't do the Pharoahian for example because that was a right bastard... Cheers for that ;)

Of course.  That explains it.  I didn't realize it was Cleggy's post I was looking at.

Why are you guys under the impression you can only have one phaser?

Right.  I built the Stage Fright and it's awesome.  I'm also on the list for the new Doppelganger board.  And I think I'm going to send Keefe some business on the Space Harp too.  Do I need 3 phasers?  No.  I do not.  Do I have a phaser problem?  Not until I start stuffing more than one in the same box (JIMI!).

How did you mount the LED to keep it in place?  Hot glue, super glue, epoxy?

Nice idea and execution.  This board is on my to-do pile.

Oh, duh.  I didn't even see the 9V pad when I was soldering yesterday.  Thanks.

General Questions / Double Flush SW Pad
March 23, 2014, 02:25:21 PM
I populated my Double Flush yesterday and I see that it has a SW pad instead of the usual + pad.  Can I still hook it up as usual to rock before I box or do I need to so something different?

I believe I will build a test box like that. Thanks, Juan.

Have to say that without your videos to get me started, I would never have built a single pedal.  Thanks.  And many more.

General Questions / Re: Waterslide decal problem
March 14, 2014, 12:52:35 AM
Did you put water or water/soap on the enclosure to help the decal slide?  I've seen that recommended and even done it but if you don't get it all the water or soap out, the decal doesn't stick as well.  Also, use a roller to spread the glue around to help it stick.  Then, thin coats of clear.  Too thick a coat seems to make the decals lift around the edges too.

I'll take at least 1.  Not sure which one yet.

Patience.

Take advantage of the great people here for support and assistance (and sometimes comic relief).

Never finish an enclosure for a pedal you haven't built and tested to your liking.  You don't have to box a circuit that doesn't meet your expectations.  (like my Pepper Spray)

Good luck.

OK.  So how did you do it?  Borax & water?  Plain Water?  Paint?  Nail Polish?  Magic?

hey nice one man. I want to learn swirl of the finish also to myself.

I have chip of 2399 delay from tayda to come to deliver to me but I am now to worry about quality.
good to hear you are making good sound and hope to me also.

FWIW, I've used 4 PT2399s from Tayda so far and they all work fine.
