Someone needs to find Thomas some smaller enclosures to work with.  He's no longer being challenged.  ;D

...right... or... Build one, that can also hold a battery in the same enclosure ;-)

I like my mashup of a BSIAB II and DIABLO for non-Tube-Amp Hi-Gain-Stuff, if that is interesting, feel free to use it.

For the enclosure: you can also try Musikding, the sell a 60 cm Looper enclosure (it's the same cable channel)

Operational Manual finalized as well. Everything you need (code, documentation, drill templates, images, ...) is here

Enjoy!

My new board, build around the Eoo3:

- 1 Loop (Queen of Bone)
- 2 Amp Switch functions (Channel and Boost)
- 5 digital effects controlled via midi (Delay, Reverb, 2x Modulation, Master Volume Boost)

Build Reports / Re: Pedalboard pics megathread

My 2019 pedalboard is build around my Eoo3 looper. Other than that, only one diy effect, the queen of bone. And of course a huge patch box to route audio for electric and acoustic guitar as well as vocals, amp switching and amp fx loop.

The boss switch is to switch vocal harmonies on and off. There is a little hole in the top deck over the status LED of the TC play acoustic (on the top right corner of the queen of bone).

The footswitch on the patch box determines, whether the vocal harmonies are derived from the acoustic or electric guitar. The acoustic guitar is muted, when the electric guitar is selected. The electric guitar is NOT muted, when the acoustic guitar is selected. I am in a band, where the second guitar player takes my acoustic from time to time, so we can both play  ;D

Complicated stuff, I know, but once it's set up, it's surprisingly easy...

It all fits in an old hardcover suitcase...

I still need to do some aluminum edges and fix the patch box with something other than duct tape, but as I need the board next weekend, I am afraid it will stay like this for some time...

The arrow is a label for the net name. In Eagle, click on "Name" for an net and choose the option "place label". In a second step, click on the label and choose "info". Click the XREF option.

Honestly, I would try a different approach. Use something with remote relays and a Midi send/receive. 5 Pins (including remote power) is all you need for that approach. Less pins: You chould get away with a standard TRS-connection, if you use the approach that TC Electronics uses for the Switch 6 (basically a resistor cascade within the switch, which is interpreted by a microprocessor within the remote device, but you dont get LEDs on the floor unit with that...).

If you run the pots outside the enclosure, definitely use shielded stereo cable to connect them. Both controls have a lug that goes to ground, so you could connect the shield to that.

I did not find a ground connection on the tone pot on the Vero... Am I missing something?

Would you mind sharing the details about the circuit (schematics/layout) and the pickup as well? I am looking for something similar...

The vero layout is here. The circuit calls for a TL062, and I would definitely recommend against "upgrading" to a TL072, as the TL062 will have seven or eight times the battery life. I just tacked a master volume (A100k) onto the output and put the gain control inside. The tilt eq is centered around 1kHz, but you could play with the values to voice it to your rig. Were I to do it again, I'd probably move the center up closer to 2kHz.

The pickup is an Artec soundhole pickup. You can find them on Amazon for $40. I chose it because of the adjustable pole pieces. The magnets are ceramic instead of the neodymium ones you get with other designs. You could get something similar (I think it may be a rebranded Artec) here.

If you run the pots outside the enclosure, definitely use shielded stereo cable to connect them. Both controls have a lug that goes to ground, so you could connect the shield to that.

Thanks! I will build that in my travel guitar before summer vacation... recording on the go, here we come!

Nice job!
How did you fix the box inside the guitar?

I had to affix the enclose the same way I did the battery box: velcro.

Thanks a lot, Timko! I will go through it the next days and also finish the owner manual. I know, it's a lot, but it's also a bit more complicated than a tube screamer :-) ...

Does somebody know a simple circuit, that briefly switches on/off every time a latching switch is switched on or off on the input side?

I have an effect that switches on and off with an external momentary switch that I would like to trigger with a latching switch...

I could build something with a microprocessor, but maybe there is something Schmidt trigger based or so...
