Paul, viewed your shoot-out. I know I can get the AC125ks from you. I also liked the ASK12Ds, and the GT308Bs. I checked the Ebay site you specified, and he's got nothing for sale at this time. Not sure if I want to do business with Bulgaria either. I checked SB, but the transistors are listed in either a generic, (Fuzz Face PNP "The Continental", "All American", SINO -US, or "The Hornet") or technical, (D-3 PNP, 2SA269, 2SB77 Hitachi, etc.).

Good Idea! I forgot Paul had some. I get most of my passives from him anyway, and I'm expecting a shipment of resistors any day. Thanks Dan!

Hi,

I want to build the Mangler, but there are so many PNP transistors. Is there a specific one I need to zero in on?

Thank you

I'm looking for images of these:
Just the numbers on the doepfer dial.

I've also got 8 DPDT footswitches, (solder lug), from Mouser that I can't use! I need to reorder the PCB mount kind for the particular "breakout" I want to use. Let me know if anyone wants these as well, cause they're just taking up space with me.

Thanks

Matmosphere, building JMK's Steaming Kettle. Jacob states in build docs to use a JRC4558, although he does say one can use a TL072, TL082, LM1458, etc. I saw a "stock" build on YouTube, and it sounded great...lots of balls!! That's what I'm chasing. Haberdasher, already received some RC's today, but I'd be happy to send you these if you want...

Thanks guys

Hi,

If anyone could use these, send me your info in a P.M. and I'll send them off. Ordered a JRC4558 from S.B. and got these...first pic. when I was looking for this...second pic. Mammoth has the proper ones, only there's a D at the end, (JRC4558D). I don't know if that matters. Again, let me know if anyone wants these...otherwise I'm pitching them.

Thanks

Yes. I've done Google, but nothing matching what I'm looking for. I'll work on it myself.

Thank you

Hi,

Does anyone know exactly what these are called, and where to find them, (sorry about the drawings, but you get the idea)? The 9V is usually located at the DC Jack, and I just wanted to put an increase/decrease symbol on my pots. I can design the increase/decrease with Paint Shop Pro or Gimp if I need to, but if a graphic alreay exists no sense reinventing the wheel...

Thank you

I was mistaken...Everybody carries 1%s. Just waiting for all supplies to get in to start building! Thanks again. Now a question about graphics...New Thread...

How Do I? Beginner's Paradise. / Resistor Tolerance
June 06, 2016, 06:12:09 PM
Hi,

Maybe it's not a big deal, but last night I purchased 250+ 1% tolerance resistors from a reputable vendor. He was out of a few that I needed, so I'm purchasing from Mammoth or Small Bear. They're resistors are 5%. If I'm mixing 1% and 5% will that equate into a non functioning stomp?

Thank you

How Do I? Beginner's Paradise. / Re: Pots Reverse

Thank you...Guess I should have read into it a bit more. The build doc says A100K (reverse) PCB mount. I've found other irregularities in this merchant's doc's, so I guess I should have assumed the pot was a "C" type.

Thanks again

Hi,

I need an A100K Reverse Pot. Is this the same as "Audio Taper"? Found on Mammoth.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone for comments. Looked thru all build docs., and with the exception of Ben's (RullyWow) Model B which has a C.P., all transistors are basic, (MPSA18s, 2N3904/06, 2SC1815, 2N5088, 2N222A, PF5102, BC337, BC170, BC546, BC109, 2N5457, and MPF102).

No. Two use 1n5817s, and the other uses a 1n4148. However, this does bring up a quandary with regard to another pedal build. I have the availability to use a rotator switch connecting four different diodes. Again, this PCB does NOT have a C.P. included. Just to be interesting I've purchased some OA1160 Tungsram Germs, D9B Russian Germ Detector, OA128 Telefunken Blackglass, and 1N60 Hitachi Germs, as well as 1N34As, 1N270s, and Yellow LEDs. Are there combinations I should steer clear of?
