Open Discussion / Zero Point SDX - Demo?
March 31, 2013, 04:26:31 AM
Has anyone posted a demo of the Zero Point SDX yet?  I know several people have built one, just wanted to hear it in action.

Thanks,

Mike

Build Reports / Clari (not)
February 07, 2013, 08:13:42 AM
Here is a Clai (not) it is my first vero project.  I found the Layout here: http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2012/02/mid-fi-electronics-clarinot.html

I found this tin at Kmart, they had all sorts of different candies, it was $3.50 plus I got to eat all the M&M's while I built the pedal.

The wiring is a little messy, but I needed to allow for the lid to open

Here is the LDR roll I made, works like a charm.  Next I want to try to tackle one of Jon's perf board projects.  I am finishing a Lowrider right now I will put in the contest, I am not as good as most of you guys but it is a lot of fun trying to be.  ;D

Open Discussion / How does this thing work?
February 03, 2013, 05:42:02 AM
Hey guys, long time lurker / admirer,  With about 15 builds under my belt. Mostly PCBs and 4 vero projects. Anyway I want to say that I really enjoy the DIY community, you guys are awesome and super friendly. But my question is this. What is the best way to start understanding how these circuits work?  I can populate a PCB or follow a vero layout, but I don't really know what is going on under the hood. I really admire people like bean,  slacker, and jon Patton who are creating and tweaking circuits. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Mike

Build Reports / EgoDriver retrofit
November 12, 2012, 07:23:18 PM
Here is my EgoDriver.  I still need to order some knobs, but I used an enclosure from a broken off brand distortion.

I used some ribbon cable I got out of an old computer for the the pots and switches.

I did not want the switch to stick out so I hid it under the original foot board, I had to glue on some wood to make it work.
