I'm getting into understanding jfets. Found runoffgrooves jfet schematic that tests for Idss and Vp. Now there are two designs up on tagboard. One has a 47 uF cap, the other has that cap and an ic. These differ from the one I found from rog. Yet I can't find any info on why these components were added. So I was just wanting to figure out how to translate this schem to vero, the one from rog's article. http://www.runoffgroove.com/fetzervalve.html

I've drawn it on paper but I don't know  if it is correct.

So I've recently revisited my chunk chunk build. I noticed I socketed r9 which currently has a 40k in it. Build doc calls for 470k. For the life of me I can remember why I did this, and I can't find any info searching. Any help?

well theres no sound unless i turn feedback all the way up. then i get a very faint sound of my guitar.

incoming v from power supply is 9.27

im gonna assume i have resistors in the wrong spot or of the wrong value somewhere. any idea where to start?

so im think of doing this project, but i have questions. i see in the bom u can use a LM78L05 instead of a LM7805. is this the one i can sub with(http://www.mammothelectronics.com/LM78L05ACZ-p/400-1108.htm)?
second the trim pot situation. where do u all source these 3362s besides mouser? it appears there is not enough room to use the 3386 trimmers like i did on my chunk chunk build. i usually get everything from smallbear(5% toler caps) and mammoth(everything else).  i even though about using a reg pot(dont know if it should be a log or lin one though) instead of a trimmer so i could adust it on the fly if i wanted to.

im assuming the markings for the footswitch goes as follows
g-ground
L-led
s-signal to pcb
i-from input jack
r-signal from pcb
o-output jack

i asking because i like to wire my footswitch a certain way and wanna make sure my connections to the pcb are correct. thanks for the help
