General Questions / Another pop issue
May 30, 2017, 10:14:18 PM
Hi all, I've built a couple of KOTs from Sabro's perf layout and the first two were/are fantastic, I'm just finished my 3rd and I have a POP that I just can't fix.

I've been driving myself nuts, short answer is I have a ton of leaky to very leaky 1uF electrolytics, messing around I realized that eliminating the output cap(s)-1uF right before out completely eliminates pop and the pedal works just fine.

So my question now is; I know they're not there for the fun of it so what am I risking/missing potentially not having them in the circuit.

Thanks in advance.

General Questions / Help, I'm stumped
April 26, 2017, 11:38:14 PM
Hey there I'm in need of some expertise, built a Rullywow Queen of Bone Pedal, two actually, and they both have a serious pop issue, more than that when engaged they cause other pedals in the chain to pop. There are 1M pull down resistors already I've tried an additional 100k and then 2.2m resistor from output to ground with no luck. Any help greatly appreciated, I'm stumped  :P

Hi all, I've built an Animato from layout here;

http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.ca/2015/11/human-gear-animato.html
(schematic below)

Functions as you'd expect except for a real lack of volume. With Vol and Dist cranked I get levels just below unity. I've replaced the electrolytics and the transistors but it hasn't improved. I believe this pedal should have tones of volume so any help would be really appreciated.

Any thoughts on what I should check?

General Questions / This POP has me beat
March 08, 2016, 03:39:54 AM
Hi all, appreciate your help on this one, built a Jules Cavern from rullywow which is a great sounding little delay, the only drawback is that I'm getting a pretty big pop when first engaging the pedal. With a few clicks on and off it goes away but I'd like to eliminate it if possible. The board does have a pull down resistor so don't think that's the issue. I've read about leaking capacitors causing pop so I've even replaced all the electrolytics with no success.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi all, built the PNP Mangler, it works (after a few fixes) but when trying to bias my voltage reading on the pad is btwn -.23 and -.14 can't get it to -4.5, any help appreciated.
