Mods / is this mod possible on the dig dug 2
May 03, 2016, 07:15:18 PM
Hello, what I'm looking to do is have the dig dug sequence only the guitar signal, i.e. no wah or trem applied to the sequence.  Looking at the schematic I was thinking of taking a wire from right after the 2n5457 to a switch and then a wire to r15, the 10k resistor.  That way I could have trem, wah or signal being sequenced.  I would just try this but I'm awaiting my enclosure so the pcb is not all built up yet.  The question is what I want even possible, does this sound like it would work or is there a better way to do it.  Thanks for any help and insight, Mike.

Quick question, when I plug in my power supply(Dunlop 18v) the lt1054 immediately start getting hot.  I looked for solder bridges and the like but found nothing.  My voltages on the reg and lt1054 look good, not quite sure why this would start getting so hot.  Thanks, mike

Hey guys I built a small clone and everything is working great, except the hiss in the background kind of bugs me.  I was wondering if some mn3007 are noisier than others.  I don't have any extras lying around or I would try a different one.  Also does anyone here have any mods to lower the noise floor of this pedal.  One thing I did notice if I turn my amp down (which is fairly quiet noise wise) and dime my guitar volume the hiss from the pedal goes down considerably.  If I have to I'll use it like this because this chorus is the one for me, but I would rather not have to.  Thanks for any help, Mike.

Hey guys I just got my pasty face in my test box and the output is really low.  The fuzz sounds absolutely awesome, exactly as I had hoped but I have the volume knob dimed and it still isn't at unity.  Ive checked all the values of the components and theyre good.  Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing it or something specific I should be looking at.  thanks mike

General Questions / ilc7660scpa vs tc1044scpa
June 01, 2014, 08:36:33 PM
Hey guys sorry if this topic has been brought up before.  I have only used the 7660scpa for charge pumps but the tc1044scpa is half the price.  Is one better than the other for some reason or are they just as good as each other.  I looked at the datasheet and nothing jumped out at me that would make one better than the other.  Any comments appreciated.

General Questions / dig dug and leaving out the wah
November 16, 2012, 09:58:00 PM
Hey i was just curious if there is a way to leave out the wah part of the circuit so i can just use the sequencer part.  If so what parts can i omit.  any help would be much appreciated.  My schematic reading skills are only okay at best.  Thanks, mike

Hey everyone i have hopefully an easy problem.  I built the deadringer and it sounds great but the boost side is engaged when the led is off and is not engaged when the led is on.  It is more of an annoyance than anything.  I'll try and post pics but ive checked numerous times aginst the diagram and brians picture of his that was built and it all checks out.  so i was hoping someone might know a quick fix without a pic first.
