Hello guys. I just wanted to see if any of you has any information regarding this issue. Everything seems to work OK but the output volume of the effect (Egodriver V4 self etched PCB) is kind of low. Any idea where can I start troubleshooting for this?

Tech Help - Projects Page / OSP TS808 no sound
December 18, 2014, 03:49:03 PM
Hey guys, just finished mi OSP TS808 and there is no sound at all when engaged, just a low static noise.
It all seems to be okay, IC voltages are as follows:
1- 4.58
2- 4.58
3- 4.57
4- 8.89
5- 4.47
6- 4.86
7- 4.56
8- 0.20

I'm really baffled as to what might be happening. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys! I'm pretty sure this has been asked before and I did perform a search but was unable to pinpoint a response.

The thing is, I placed an order for a local electronics shop (I live in Argentina) for 1uf film caps and what I got was HUGE caps that are pretty much unusable in a small PCB. I would love to use box type caps, but those are not available locally (at least not to my knowledge) and I would have to order them from an international supplier. That's not necessarily a problem, but it takes time and costs more (the current customs situation in Argentina is a NIGHTMARE).

Just wanted to get your 2 cents on possible alternatives or substitutions for those. I was about to use them on the 808 project.

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys. I was just wondering about the 808 OSP and if that would work on a bass guitar. I'm thinking probably the input/output caps need replacement but I wanted to ask for your input on it. Anyone has tried this yet?

This will be a very noobish basic question. Does q1 and q2 need to be matched in order to build/get a good sound out of Sabertooth? I'll be building one soon, and since I know fuzz pedals are temperamental with transistors (probably when using germanium, but anyway) I wanted to clear that question before getting down to business.

Thanks for your time, guys!
