Came back to this after a year, because I just ordered parts to build this pedal for some friends, and I still haven't figured out what I did wrong with this one. I know I've checked every component value, even measured the components that allow being tested 'in circuit.' Just installed another set of chips.

Pedal turns on, tone control sounds awesome, volume works,(fooled me into boxing it), fat mod works, everything else, gain, bypass buffer, clipping switch is not functioning. The gain knob fully counter clockwise induces a little whine, otherwise has no effect.

1044 SCPA Voltages are as follows:

1. 8.75v          8. 8.71v
2. 5.05v          7. 5.24v
3. 0                6. 3.84v
4. -3.59v         5. -8.53v

TLC 274:

1. .4mv           14. -2.9mv
2. o                13. -.1mv
3. .1mv           12. -0
4. 8.84v          11. -8.58v
5. 0                10. -0
6. 0                  9. 0
7. .1mv             8. 3.0mv

I'm hoping these voltages just scream out at someone.

I had the board out of the box and went over the entire board with a loupe and hit anything that even looked  the slightest bit not perfect. I am suspicious of the dual gang pot, but I can't see how that would affect the tlc 274 voltages.

So here is some shots for someone considering the "all the options" build. The in and output jacks were moved
to the outside pot centers to make room for the switching. I meant to have a bit more room between the jacks and pots but somehow layed it out wrong, also layed out the switches a little off too. I crowded the 3PDT to leave some extra room above. I really didn't think this might take the place of my Klon, but I may have to do a better enclosure for this build. The options are killer.

The problems I ran into with this build were, the drilling template shows a small circle in the general vicinity of the LED, It's not the LED. It was close enough to bend the leads of the LED to work. That happened with the Kinslayer II, also. The build DOC for this mod doesn't show wiring the input sleeve to the board. This needs to be done. :o I thought there was a reason it wasn't shown on this mod when the others clearly show it.

Build Reports / The Anti-Pickdropper
June 01, 2014, 10:18:40 PM
I'm pretty sure I'm never going to beat him at his own game, so I thought I'd take the opposite tack.
So what is the opposite of incredibly small enclosures packed with a head spinning amount of components all enclosed
with perfect graphics, all, leaving you wondering how he did it? Meet, the D.O.G.

No visionary graphics here. Nor, subtle uses of laser etching, Ha! Take that Pickdropper. Behold the pickstopper.

Yes that's a Madbean, Slow Loris, fueling this Rat'd out build. Special thanks to DavidGiandiletti for his
awesome enclosure and the genesis of this build.

Build Reports / T-Bagger

What a name for a pedal, that was named after such an awesome artist. :(

Anyway, first build report (attempt). I built this with a separate switched clipping section on a small vero-
board. I socket-ed the mosfets wired as diodes, and the diodes. I also socket-ed the op-amp and transistor.
I think I settled on the 2n7000 mosfet and 1N914 diodes for clipping. Switched.

The op amp I went with the LF353m and the 2SC1815 Transistor. I got some of those from Thai Shine (TAYDA)
but you could tell by looking at them they weren't going to sound good. Ended up finding some original Toshiba
ones that did the trick.

For the Cross I used 6 led's sandwiched between a board, and the enclosure, and let me tell you, it'll poke your eye's out.

When I first built the pedal, I did a quick listen, swapped some parts around and wasn't knocked out. But Haberdasher
asked how I liked it, when I thanked him for some help, and I realized I should probably contribute a report. Glad I did. This is fastly becoming my favorite pedal. Ya I guess I made up fastly... I dig what it does in the sparkly clean
section of my Mesa Mark V. The crunch is awesome, and it does get to that cranked Marshall zone.

Thanks to all those who made it so simple for me to endeavor to build my own gear. It's 3 am pictures don't work right, posting anyway. Feel free to educate...
