Count you know Smallbear has those if you got screwed by evil bay.
I saw that, I'm just trying to avoid $18+shipping for the 2 chips.  :(

Thanks again to everyone for the help. I'll let you know how it goes.

I had similar problems to what your experiencing. I bought my chips from ebay too, probably the same guy. I bought a package type deal, 10 of each for $18 with free shipping. The first pair I tried I got just clean signal..I spent a day tracing through w/ an audio probe, finally re-soldered the joints for the mn3101 and mn3007 chips. Still didn't work so I changed out the pair and got nice chorus signal..I tried the original pair again and they did not work..In this case it was the chips, might be the same with yours.
I've been meaning to go through and test how many of the 10 pair work...
Crap. I have one other pair left to try out. Stupid me trying to save a little cash.

Appreciate the response, Jacob. So do the transistor and IC readings check out? I have no idea what they should be. And FWIW I got the 3101 and 3007 off the eBay. Thoughts?

Hi there everyone!

Here's the deal:

Good sound in bypass. When engaged LED lights up and I still have good sound, but no effect. flipping the switches gives me a subtle tone change, nothing more. Turning the knobs does nothing. EXCEPT the Depth knob, where I get a small "swish" when passing from and through around 4-5 o'clock. Adjusting the trimpot either gets me signal or no signal. Voltage readings are as follows:

Q1
E-4.4
B-4.8
C-9

Q2
E-4.7
B-0.5
C-9

Q3
E-0
B-2.1

Whew! Here's some pics:

I've triple checked the wiring and parts. Of course at this point I'm seeing rainbow stripes on everything, so I will be more than happy if one of you can point out a huge, hilarious mistake that I've made.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you help me  :)

Thanks!!!!  8)

General Questions / Pork Barrel Mod Question

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm looking at building a Pork Barrel for a friend and I'm pretty sure he has no interest in having to deal with any of the mod switches. Am I correct in thinking that to exclude them from the build I'd just need install jumpers where I'd normally wire the switches? Thanks!
