Would you mind sharing where you got them from so others don't suffer the same fate? I'm building this one now and was about to place an order.

It has this in the build doc...

"MOSFET selection and pinouts
The original Box of Rock uses BS170 MOSFETs. These are identical in specification to the 2N7000, but
with the major difference that sometimes the pinout is different. Some manufacturers use D-S-G and
others use D-G-S, while the 2N7000 is always D-G-S. Therefore, it's recommended to use 2N7000 when
building this project."

Just a guess, but it sounds like the computer is a high impedance output and the guitar signal is low impedance. You might try loading the circuit input with a 1M resistor to ground.

I just got the change to brown theme and Brian's profile showed up when I clicked on that thread. I go to another page and its back to normal.

Yep, I still see that issue too. There are some others I've noticed as well.

I randomly switch to the brown theme for a post and then back to regular.

The unread posts page doesn't immediately clear once I've visited, it takes a little while.

Hmm, I don't see anything referencing 15v or 18v versions. Where are you seeing that?

As far as I can tell there are two versions of the SPS switching boards.

1) Truesoft SPS - this is mostly thru hole components with 2-3 smd ics on the back.

2) SPS System - this has mostly smd components and was designed for mass production. I think he only sold these fully assembled

You want the Truesoft SPS pdf in the assembly folder

They probably took the bags out so they could move the seats closer together.

Just curious if there is any reasoning behind designing the standard series exclusively for the 1590b rather than both it and 125b? Some folks seem a tad hung up on top jacks.

A number of the circuits I'm working on for the series simply won't fit in both configurations. Some would, for sure. But then they wouldn't be "standardized" for one pre-defined hardware layout. I've got a pretty big hunch that when folks start building some of these projects they'll find them easy and enjoyable. At least, I hope so because I put in a tremendous amount of thought and planning into them, haha.

I was just thinking, that if it fits into a 1590b, a 125b is bigger in every dimension, so what's to stop you from using the larger size? Sorry, if I'm being dense.

Not dense at all! 125B requires extra space at the top end to fit the jacks and you have to make compromises to offer both options for 125B and 1590B simultaneously in a single PCB layout.

Frankly, I already did that in 2020 with a bunch of projects and sometimes that required a mix of 16mm snd 9mm pots. I dont think thats the best approach anymore. This series is about focusing on a specific layout standard for 1590B with minimal wiring and different bypass options. And, also because I want to make it easy for people that want to use the Tayda drilling and UV print service at the same time. These weren't even options just a few years ago.

That makes sense. I'm definitely excited to see it all in action once it's ready.
