Tech Help - Projects Page / Current Lover Clock Noise
February 04, 2013, 09:14:07 PM
Hello Madbeans forumers,

I tried a build of the current lover and i have a small problem:
The current lover is working well : i did the bias method explained in the build documents and i get a very nice sound. I run it at 15V thanks to a roadrage pcb. I use the MN3007 (bought from banzai music) version.
My main problem is that i hear a clicking noise (tic tic tic tic) when the rate pot is fully counter clockwise or fully clockwise. The tic tic disappears when the pot is used between 20%-90% of the range of the pot (1M rev log)
Does someone had this same problem and knows how to fix it?
Regards.
Luke

Hello,

First of, Thank you a lot for your help that is greatly appreciated.
I have 2 questions regarding the dark side project :
- reading the wiring diagram, there is no 9V battery in the dc wiring diagram : if i want to build this project and use a 9V battery, what sould be the correct wiring?
- Any suggestions for the 1N5401 substitution?

Thank you again.

Have a good day.
