Title: Firebomb R1 on single-sided pcb: what is it?
Post by: ch1naski on April 01, 2013, 05:03:28 AM
On the single-sided pcb, there are pads and a R1 designation. These are NOT on the layout for the double-sided pcb, nor is it listed in the parts list. and as far as my wine-drinking eyes can see, it's not even in the schematic. on the SS (single-sided) board, it is connected to the INPUT A, along with the input cap. typo on the board layout? anyone built the SS version and figured this out?

Just checked out the schematic, R1 is probably a pull-down resistor for the A input. If you look carefully, you'll also see that R9 isn't on the double sided layout and the schematic, that's the pull-down for the B input. I've built 2 Firebombs on double sided boards and never felt the need to add one...

Hey, thanks Dutch. I was populating the board and going crazy.
