Title: Removing Boost from BYOC Confidence Boost
Post by: kylemyers33 on February 25, 2013, 09:28:38 PM
Hey guys, I am building a BYOC confidence boost. It seems like the Booster is giving distortion, and because I am mainly doing this for the Buffer, I would like to take out the boost. Is that possible, or would it leave an open circuit somewhere? Thanks!

*NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT MY ACTUAL BOARD, JUST SOME PICTURES I FOUND ONLINE*
Here is a picture of the front of the PCB:  http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s191/alucarDuo/IMG_0386.jpg

And the back with connections: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s191/alucarDuo/IMG_0378.jpg

Lastly the wiring diagram: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/JoeIbanez/ConfidenceBooster.jpg

Thanks masters!  ::)  This would be a huge help!

The mods could tell you pretty quick over at BYOC if you don't get a hit here.

Try (with an audio probe first to make sure it's what you want) taking the output from the junction of R3, R4, and C2. Pretty sure that's at the areas circled
