Title: Doombutter "totally clean" mod??
Post by: bigrigg on August 02, 2012, 08:39:39 PM
Hey there,  I'm aware of the fuzz lift mod which seems to give slight fuzz vs high gain fuzz BUT do we know of a way to give us a completely fuzz free clean signal like the newer Clari pedal can offer?  Thanks very much.

Not sure about a mod but my strat and tele play very clean with the fuzz lift engaged. With my LP it clips a bit more.

Pretty sure the new ones just have a FET buffer in front like you'd find on a ruby amp. Could try a 386-4 and run it at higher voltage for more volume.

I appreciate the idea but.....I have this boxed and with a few extra goodies and mods that should please.  I will put it in the build section soon but now I need one more bloody knob due to added mods!!   grrr gotta order and wait.  Thanks

Oops, to clarify I meant more headroom for a cleaner sound, not volume.
