Title: dinky drive pots
Post by: chromesphere on September 30, 2010, 12:03:21 AM
Hi all,

just built the dinky drive.  I'm trying to find a place to get the correct pots as i temporarily just put on whatever i had on hand that was closest.

Cant seem to find 1MA pots.  well, not from the places i usually order from.

My choice is either 1MB or 500kA.  Which do you think would be better suited?  I have B on the bass pot at the moment.  It goes from no bass to heaps, in about 1mm of turn....

Did i just answer my own question?

(Thanks for any help)

Paul.

500kA will work fine. You might like the response better with the audio taper instead of 1MB. I suggest setting them up on a breadboard and swap them out to see what you prefer.
