should be pretty straight forward, but I would appreciate a pcb some sweet madbean instructions for this high gainer.

Okay, yeah...I have a PCB done for it via FSB. The "Uproar". There are a few adjustments that need to be made, but I could make this available here.
man I need to bite the bullet and learn to etch my own boards.
-mike
yep.
Etching your own is fun and satisfying. You should try it. I'm finally starting to get my technique down, but it takes a few tries. I've gone through some material experimenting, you know- trial & error- so be sure to buy extra.
Here's my latest.

I don't really....my method is really a combination of different methods I've found around the internet. I use one thing from here, one thing from there, into a method that seems to work for me- with the particular kind of paper I use and my laminator. I do NOT iron.
I think madbean is supposed to be making a tut about this, and I know he does it differently than I do it. I suspect his method is probably a lot more tried & true than mine. I'm just now starting to get results I'm proud of, but not every time. It really takes a lot of trial & error.
Of course, I will tell you what I do if you want to know, but not everyone is going to want to go out & buy a laminator.
brian when you believe you can have ready Uproar??
I think within a few days. I'm pretty caught up on things which means I will have time to do fun stuff like a new project. Actually, I could possibly have TWO new projects by the weekend.
Thanks brian I hope very excited this pedal is very close to being like .-
I have a few questions about the uproar project. it says d2 is 1234a? is that a mistake. I am guess it is supposed to be 1n34a?
d6 is 1n400x does that mean 1n4001 will work? I am guessing I should socket this clipping section.
IC's are JRC4580 does anybody have a source for these? I looked on smallbear, mouser, and jameco and it didn't turn up. I guess I could sub any opamp but I don't know if this is a particular mojo part. When I google it alot of posts on hi-fi websites and soundcard websites about that opamp.
I am going to put in an order for some parts and give this one a go this week.
Mike-
*JRC = NJM*
http://www.mouser.com/Semiconductors/Amplifier-ICs/Op-Amps/_/N-4h00g?P=1z0yz4q&Keyword=NJM4580&FS=True
I don't know the difference between the NJM4580d and the NJM4580dd though.
I think i'd be up for one of these at least, I built it on perfboard but I think i'd like to give it another shot as I don't think it came out right.
Any update on this one? I did not see anything in the release schedule. I am looking to order a few pcbs at once and would like one of these as well.
Thanks
any news ?
I will release this one next week into the wild along with a couple of other projects. I'll shoot for...errr, Tuesday.
Please feel free to kick my ass a little on this. I want to do it...I just have much too much happening right now.
Consider my foot in motion.

Hi!
I'm a new member at the forum. I got really interested in building this one. I've read about some problems with the names of the trademarks but anyway would it be possible to post the schematic of this pedal?
Thanks

I think Brian has a preliminary schematic up on freestompboxes.org (actually, I think someone else posted his schematic) that you could look for. He said he was releasing this officially here on this site sometime this week (hopefully). I'm jonesing for it, too, and I haven't even finished my first build yet!
Culturejam actually released the schem. I simply re-drew it to make a layout, IIRC. My schematic is incomplete because at the time there were some uncertainties in the cap values. I think those have been resolved.
CJ has built my layout and says it is verified. While I do have my board etched, drilled and ready to populate I have not found the time to finish it, as of yet. I have several other prototypes to complete first so I can get them ordered with the manufacturer.
I'm happy to post the documentation as is on the MBP forum. It would be with the caveat that I have not personally verified it, though. Honestly, I don't really expect to do a board for this one as there are already so many overdrives and distortions already available. I might instead do a small batch and just offer them on first come first serve....haven't decided at all.
Is there a chance you might post the artwork here as well? :)
I like the idea of a limited edition board. Make 50 and when they're gone, they're gone. I'd take one or two of these.

Naturally.

Save one for me!
You know, I guess the main thing is to have a verified schem, even for me. I don't have any plans to start etching boards (did that in school a long time ago), but I could always hand-wire it on perfboard, etc. So, your current schem would be appreciated!
Is there a guide on how to wire stuff from a schematic onto a prefboard ?
Hi,
I tried to register at freestompboxes but couldn't make it. If someone could post the schematic I could prepare the layout.
I'm not sure you're understanding. Brian's already got a layout. He'll get to posting it when he gets a chance. I'm sure you can find the schematic somewhere, or wait until Brian's ready to post his documents.
Jacob
I'm putting it together now, in between breaks. I'll have it up in a little bit.
I understood. I just thought I could help somehow. I always do my own layouts because I have some different enclousures and most of the layouts don't fit them. Anyway I'll wait for the upload at the projects page.
Thanks

Your offer is much appreciated, Victor! I'm almost done...just trying to wrap my head around how best to do the three-way switching. A little info: the board will easily fit in a 1590B, so assuming your enclosures are not smaller than that, it should fit fine.
My build is actually kinda noisy, and I'm not sure if it's a layout issue (probably not) or a little too much gain or something else.
Bean, have you noticed this in your latest layout?
