Title: Latest build - LaVache in a 1590A
Post by: saxoftenest on January 31, 2012, 03:47:36 PM
The first of my new mini builds, Madbean's LaVache. It has a 2n5088 in it for now, going to have to wait for my next parts order for some 2n3565's. Diodes are 1n914 and Bat41's. Enclosure is gloss black cherry from PPP, knobbies from Mammoth.

It sounds great - good dirt w/ the diode switch up or down (which introduces one or two of the Bat41's) and cleans up well. The boost switch basically makes my amp explode. :D Unfortunately, the violet LED I put in this totally clashes with the cherry enclosure so I'm going to have to pull it...

Next mini builds will be Soldersound's delay, trem, and phaser!

Fantastic, love those knobs and the finish is rather special.

Wow. Simply spectacular that you worked it into that enclosure like that. Anyone who does much with 1590A size enclosures really impresses me.

I cannot believe you got all that in there. Simply outstanding!

Thanks, all! It's a bit tight, for sure.  ;D Most importantly, it sounds great and takes up very little space on the pedalboard.
