My krankosaurus has a problem.my Boost and gain pots make an anoying hissss when i turn them on especially after the last half rotation. The same thing happens and at one booster i made using the boost section of the krankosaurus.I have to say that i use 2n7000 and log pots and not anti log.

Is it working but just Noisy?  Or is it not working at all?

From what I've read the 2n7000 is the almost same as the BS170, except for the pins being different...  have you soldered it to the board correctly?

It's also pretty high gain, in terms of distortion and boost. But, it should not be so noisy that it competes with the actual effected signal....it should not be as loud as the distorted signal, for example.

Crackle is OK. It's designed that way.
All SHO based pedals crackle, Super Hard on, Box of Rock, Two Rock....

The crackle can not be removed without changing how the pedal sounds.
It only crackles when you turn the knob, so it's no big deal. :)
