Title: New Transistors to try from Tayda
Post by: sgmezei on January 25, 2012, 06:29:34 AM
Hey folks,

I am placing a larger (quantity, its cheap!) order with Tayda and am wondering what transistors I can try for some silicon fuzzes and experimenting and such.

Recommendations Please :)

I like the 2907's in pnp fuzz

Have you measured the average hfe of tbose? The datasheet shows >75 but I would be interested to see where most of them fall. I'd love to try some for Q1 if they measure below 100.

If you're going pure Si NPN sure would be easier to wire up.
For npn I've found the best is 2n2369 for q1, I got mine on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/260774266338?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649)
For q2 a lot of different ones sound good, including 2n2222.

fwiw all the 2907s I got from tayda measured between 150 and 160

Alrighty, I ordered the 2907. I got 20 of them so I can test a few and hopefully get some useable ones.

Any diodes or other standout products for experimenting from Tayda??

Thanks again team!!!
