I'm getting back to pedal building after a multi-year hiatus. As I was going through my inventory, I saw that I had bought Brian's ProtoRig kit a while back. I put it together and used it for the first time this weekend to help with set-up and testing of a few boards I had in process but never finished. Using the ProtoRig really was a time saver and makes 'boxing before rocking' a lot easier.
So shout-out to Brian for a great kit and really helpful documentation!
Glad you like it. I have 4 or 5 of them built and use them all the time. I don't think I could work without one. Not that it has to be the ProtoRig itself. Any prototype setup will do the job!
You thought it out really well. The ground clip is a nice touch to make it easier to take measurements. Could I rig one up that does the same thing? Sure. But it's great to have it 'designed in'. Same with the audio probe.
