The EHX/JHS collab came out a couple days ago and looks to be a mash-up of a couple well-known Tim Escobedo circuits. I breadboarded it yesterday and it sounds good so I made a quick Etcher's Paradise project if you want to DIY your own PCB. I put in some suggestions and added a couple optional mods, too.

Nope, they haven't starting shipping yet. Apparently, in the video the board is held up. I didn't watch the whole thing. I did preorder a nano, though.

Sounding pretty gnarly. I wanted to use a 14mm pot and I only had a 5kC. So, I dropped a 3k3 in parallel to make a 2k pot and used that for the balanced control. Makes it rather unruly in some settings. I like it but I may tweak it a bit more. Might try to dial out a little low end. Overall, it sounds great!

All done! I replaced the RED LED with a clear white. It changes the front end attack quite a bit and sounds rad. really happy how this turned out.

I like this one. I'll try swapping the red LED for a white. The 1k control doesn't really do too much other than smooth out the top end a bit at full CW and all I had was a 1kB so it's a bit bunched up. I went with your recommendations on the transistors. What's cool is that rather than clean up with rolling off the guitar volume it changes character quite a bit and in some interesting ways. Like at the lower end with the octave cranked it gets kinda ring mod.
Nice touch with the tropical fish! I just have plain old box caps :(

Dude, so I got the 99.00 Lizard Queen last Friday. I finished building this tonight. Sounds Identical to my ears. I used 10ufs instead of 22ufs.

happy to share gerbers and build doc once it's verified, though it's done with sub-mini switch footprint, which I kind of regret with the other board design I got fabbed... I might change it to be standard sized thru pin footprint instead.
I have Brian's hand-etched board nearly done and in the box, but I don't have any standoffs! I could use junk and hot glue, but for Brian's board, I want it to be my best effort.... doing that one ALL by hand, which should be interesting, seeing how I've already had three close shaves that nearly screwed the pooch. IT'LL ALL BE WORTH IT …right? :P It'll be fine, I just need to not screw up anymore. I'm too reliant on technology/machining.
I did use 100nf caps, yes. Screwing up is part of the process, don't sweat it.

Got my Dragonthayur board working! Like I said, many mistakes in my design that I'm rectifying, but overall, I love the sound. One weird thing: I've seen other schematics (and the Lizard Queen) call out different component values for the transistors, and particularly Q1: I was getting almost no signal out until I changed Q1 for a Darlington (MPSA13 per Brian's schematic). Started out with a 2n2222, and it reads good before and after, had solid joints too, so no idea what was going on. But it works now!

1590B will have side jacks. My working model is a 1590N1/125B, so it gets top jacks. That thing, though, is uglier than my board (really bad PLA print AND bondo...yikes)
Nice work on this one, Brian, sounds great and the white LED lends a nice tonal variation. Now to finish up the hand-etch board build.
