Title: Building a Woodstork Fuzz But...
Post by: Martial_Sound on November 13, 2022, 02:56:59 AM
Hello all! First post.

I'm going to build a Woodstork fuzz and plan to use it to get some really ignorant, sputtery, bias tweaking tones.  Any advice on how to get it as non musical sounding as possible? I like the external bias knob and I hope it will act in a similar fashion as the one on the DOD Carcosa Fuzz. I see that that Woodstork has an internal trim as well. Could this be the key?
Thanks in advance!

The key to that type of sound is in the feedback resistor b/w Q2 and Q1. Try putting a 500k pot in series with R2, the 100k resistor.
