Title: How close do the values have to be?
Post by: zachlovescoffee on April 07, 2022, 05:02:56 PM
The tractor beam is looking for 22pf mlcc but I only have 15pf and 27pf. Do you think it's okay to use one of those and if so, which would you use? Or should I bite the bullet and just buy the 22s?

I tend to go higher, 27 works just fine.

You could also try to make the right value from two caps, depending on what you have.  Caps have the inverse relationship to resistors.  So, caps in parallel add.  Caps in series follow C=(C1*C2)/(C1+C2).
