Title: VFE Resistor question
Post by: zachlovescoffee on January 13, 2022, 04:24:36 PM
Hey folks, still waiting on those PCBs to go on sale but I have a Q in anticipation. I know one of the call outs in the build docs is that space is sketchy and they call for 1/8 watt resistors. Is it still possible to use 1/4 watt resistors if you "stand" them on one end?

Yes

To expand on that, yes but they're already super crowded layouts. It'll be a much more manageable build if you just pick up some 1/8 watt resistors. They're super cheap and if you're waiting for a sale just order them now and you'll be ready when the boards go on sale.

In the build docs it calls for low profile caps and low ESR. How do I know what low profile will fit? Is there a specific size I ships be looking for? How about low ESR? Specific values?
