Title: CNC PCB Isolation Routing
Post by: skypn on June 19, 2021, 11:15:08 AM
Does anyone here do this? I bought a 3018 two months ago, and I'm having a devil of a time.
TIA

Well, things are getting a little better. I've stopped breaking bits. ;D. I'm slowly discovering how to tune in the software. One has to use three different types, and if they all aren't on the same sheet of music, things go south. Since my first success, I've toasted 4 boards, so I guess I'm 1 and 4. Hopefully today will produce better results.

I have an Othermill. I do pretty good if I use the 1/32" bit. The engraving bit is also great these are really hard to break. I don't, go anywhere near the 1/64" bits these seem to break pretty easily.
