Title: What switch is this?
Post by: Thewintersoldier on May 11, 2021, 10:35:40 PM
I bought these a long time ago and do not remember where. Are these 4p3t? Is there a way to know for sure? (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210511/36b3c0075d6a8bf9e8fd5b3df7dc80e0.jpg)

Pretty sure you are correct but I'd have to look it up. I think each of the lugs in the center ring is a pole.

I asked the same thing... I think you just have to test them

It has four pins in the center so it's a 4 pole, you set it up to be 1,2 or 3throw. Under the nut, lock washer is a washer with a pin that fits in one of ten numbered slots in the switch body, you want a 3 throw, slot three.

Same switch body for a 1,2,3 or 4 pole, has as many center pins as poles.

Thanks everyone, I went thru and checked the poles and looked at the alpha data sheets and it is 4p3t. I checked the continuity between poles and each of the outer lugs. I guess  I don't need to order for my next build after all.
