Title: Can I power LED with DC Jack ?
Post by: Jyka on January 02, 2021, 04:39:22 PM
Hello :)

It's seem we need 9V to power a LED, but battery are expensive and I prefer DC Jack for long term economy

When a check a basic led circuit i found this http://pdfxevav.achatsenchine.fr/diagram/philips-led-circuit-diagram

So can i use a dc jack to power the led and the rest of the pedal ?

Regards
Jyka

You sure can. The resistor is needed in series on either side to limit the voltage current so the led doesn't burn out. Usually a 4.7k will be about right for the led. The rest of the pedal circuit is usually good on 9v
