A little planning on the front side proves to be very useful with this build.  I mounted all my resistors on the opposite side and im glad i did.  Once i started populating the caps, i needed that extra space.  It looks like youve got some big ass components there.  I went with wimas on most of the film caps and they fit very well.  I used nichicon audio grade electros and a few silver micas as well.  I have my board about 90% populated and im waiting on a few components to arrive, but i can take some pics of what i have so far if you'd like to take a look at it.  Im still trying to figure out how to get a road rage in there.

Ya i was trying to use some rn60 resistors since i didn't have the values in rn55 but i'm not gonna be able to use them at all.

I think I'm going to have to mount the resistors on the other side for me to even have any chance of fitting the caps properly...

not to mention that I got wimas in 1uf, 2.2uf, 4.7uf, and 10uf.

I'm going to have to build an adapter board for them.

I'll fix it for my other two boards. Stilts for the first board.

now to desolder the stand up resistors sigh.

Sorry it doesn't help you but possible someone else.  It's tight but everything can be done on top with normal sized caps and 1/4watt resistors.

Here is my work in progress
Damn thats a lotta bits in not a lot of space.
Only bit I am not chuffed with is the parallel 120pF for the C41 clock driver (240pF) but I couldnt find a 240pF in silver Mica in stock near me.

Lucky guy, i can't even find the 240pf anywhere.

Can i ask where you sourced your parts?
I'm having a some hard time finding correct trimpots for instance. (found these 5mm round trimpots).

I used Tayda for the trimmers Bournes 3362 style I think.
For the box caps, TAyda sell these too.
The Greenies in wierd values = tayda again

The Wima caps I got from Futurlec / Rapid I think.

Radial electros are available everywhere but I used Rapid in the UK.
Silver Micas were rapid.
ceramic small values Tayda

sockets and ICs - rapid
v3205 - trade
compander - NE570 trade (sa571 also from Futurlec)

I got the trimmers (specify horizontal mount) and a 240pf ceramic (http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=C315C241J5G5TAvirtualkey64600000virtualkey80-C315C241J5G) from Mouser.  I socketed C41 (the 240pf) JUST incase.

Thanks for the answers guys,

I managed with three orders: Musikding, Tayda & ebay for the 240pf.
Funny thing is that i thought i ordered everything a few weeks ago and was waiting for the boards to arrive. but i only ordered the current lover parts. Twice.

Sometime brains don't work.
Especially mine.
