Title: Bending leads on silicon transistors
Post by: ninemag on October 15, 2020, 12:31:18 AM
I'm building a tube screamer- need 2sc1815 and only have bc550 and 5089's. I have lots of transistors, but those are the 2 I'd prefer to sub. The base and collector pinout is opposite the of the 1815. Any advice on the best way to bend/modify the leads?
Thanks for the help?

Strip a really short piece of wire, and slide the insulation onto one of the legs that is going to cross another leg.
