Title: Jonathan Coulton plays my Sabertooth
Post by: lincolnic on November 23, 2011, 06:15:35 PM

I engineered this about a month ago, at the studio where I work. If anyone's curious, that's a plain old Squire bass into the Sabertooth, into our '66 Ampeg B-15.

No way!  JoCo is freakin' awesome and now, by association, so is your Sabertooth!

Hey, thanks. I was pretty psyched about it too. After that video went live, a couple of people on Twitter asked him what pedal it was. After telling them that it was homemade by me, Jonathan went on to declare the sound "pretty raunchy". I got a kick out of that.

I can't stop watching this damn video now!
I am also convinced that I now need to build this exact Sabertooth, grow a beard and find a friend to trigger drum's for me. Did you Mod anything in it or is it just built as described?  8)

No mods, just a stock build. I love that pedal. When I got the email the night before saying we'd need some fuzz bass, I knew exactly what I was going to bring to work the next day!
