Title: How do I tell if the nsl is backwards in my bumblebee

I put the dot on the bottom where the doc says to, but it measures positive instead of negative and when I attach and LED to the legs, it doesn't light up.

 Negative on top, positive on bottom. Not sure but I'd use a meter and see if there is any voltage between those two. Twiddle the sustain and trigger knobs while you do it

ok, I see... after looking at the build doc it looks like the dot (cathode) goes on top (not the bottom).

"The cream dot on the part denotes the cathode of the internal
LED on the optocoupler and should be placed as shown above"

Thank you. I've never once gotten an opto right on the first try.
