Title: Glitchee Freq Pot - what type?
Post by: isoceles on April 05, 2020, 08:29:12 PM
Good afternoon! Hopefully, I've posted this in the proper area of the forum. My apologies if I did not. My (probably stupid) question is: Does it matter what type of 1M pot to use for the "Freq" control? Normally, I see linear, logarithmic, or reverse log. I searched the forum thinking that someone probably already posted this, but I couldn't find the answer. The pdf doesn't indicate A, B, or C. I'm guessing it doesn't matter, but I just want to be sure - I suck at desoldering components! :)

Looks like I've answered my own question here. I have my test rig, and so l just labbed it out since I had all three pot types in 1M. I didn't realize until now that you can just pop the 9mm pots in and they'll work without soldering them. Best I can tell, it doesn't matter which type - all three seem to work.

It should be linear. Sorry, somehow I missed that.

It's no problem- that's the one I went with (B1M). :)
