Title: 820 pf capacitor instead of 750
Post by: MadMilo666 on April 05, 2020, 07:30:18 PM
Hi, I'm building a project that I found on sabrotone.com.
The schematic says I need a 750 pF, anyway in Germany 750 pF is kind of impossible to find.
The closest replacement I found was 820 pF, do you think it would make such a big difference?
Do you have an idea where I could possibly find a 750 pF?

They're not easy to find anywhere :) Two 1n5 in series or a 250p & 500p in parallel would work.

You could also use an SPDT and switch between 250pF & 1n, which is what that switch is achieving.

Or if you're using 20% ceramic caps, just measure a few 820pF caps until you find one close to 750p... or just use 820, it wont make a huge difference.
