Title: Low rider substitution?
Post by: LaceSensor on October 15, 2011, 05:22:02 PM
HI

whats the best sub for a 24k resistor
I have 22k or 27k

Or is it imperitive to have the correct value?
I could do 2 x 12k in series but it looks trashy...

Thanks!

Don't be afraid of resistors in series.  This isn't FSB  ;)  I won't turn my nose up.   :D

Yeah but I hate it ;)

On the same topic, how fussy is it for 33k ? Ive got 31.6k (not a joke !)

22k is closer than 27k.

5% tollerance, that resistor could be 23.3k which is only a few hundred ohms off 24k... so just go for it.

31.6k will be fine for the 33k too.

I can't think of any builds I have that use all the correct values.

How are resistor teepees trashy? I was thrilled the first time I tried it and my build fired up!!  :)
You should be fine w/ those close values.

HEy

That'd be awesome, thanks.
I actually need 2 x 24k and 8 x 33k if its not too much trouble?

I can cover costs, which will be cheaper than an order even from bitz box I imagine...

One vero or for development, sure, but on a beautiful pro board its gotta be the real deal for me. Just a snob I guess, but I wanna do the build justice inside and out. I've done a few beans recently I'll post up my gut shots soon...
