Title: Battery life when powering a Road Rage board + Rangemaster?
Post by: timbo_93631 on October 07, 2011, 01:22:31 PM
I am building a Rangemaster for someone right now and I am going to power it with a Road Rage board for the -9v tap so it is friendly with all pedalboard PSU's, however I also want to retain a battery snap for a 9v, because it could see duty in a guitar > rangemaster > amp type of setting.  Will the road rage board greatly diminish a 9v battery's life?  Thanks!

It should be fine. I think that the circuitry on a RR board is in the 2-5ma range if there's any. Don't know that for certain, but that's my sense.

Thanks!  Can I hook the battery negative lead to the sleeve lug on the jack so the battery doesn't drain with nothing plugged in?  Seems like that would be okay because G1 and G2 are connected on the road rage board...
