Title: OneSpot / Truetone - mA meter
Post by: culturejam on July 15, 2017, 12:59:32 AM
This is pretty cool: http://amzn.to/2uooauM

This is a dead-simple little tool, but very useful for us DIY types. If you don't have a bench DC power supply, this is a great way to find out how much current any given pedal is pulling.

If you want something diy, i put a 1 ohm resistor in a box between two power jacks and two banana jacks. I can plug in my meter and read the mV drop across the resistor which equals the current drawn through the resistor. Now if photobucket would free up my links...

Pictures are on another computer if anyone's interested i can chase them down.

These little modules look cool.  I have a bunch of the voltmeter versions
